My Top Five Most Inspiring Things

This designer needs some inspiration! It's been well over 2 weeks since my last post, and I need to get back on track.

One of my instructors from design school at Parsons gave me some of the best advice, and it's something that I have to remind myself of a lot. She told me:

One of the best things you can do to spur creativity is spend time outside of designing.

To follow Annie's advice, I thought that I'd share what's bringing me joy, rejuvenation and inspiration right now.

Here are the top five things that are bringing me inspiration.

5. Paper Source

I'm a huge fan of Paper Source wrapping paper, stationary, crafts and gift bags. I love the colors, patterns and innovative direction of this company. I like to use their wrapping in lieu of wallpaper. Click HERE for more.

4. Textile Fabrics

Textile Fabrics is a store in Nashville off of 8th Ave. Although it's a clothing fabric store, I glean a lot of inspiration from fashion. I love their beautiful silks, colorful patterns and gorgeous trims and ribbons. Click HERE for more.

3. Anthropologie

Wandering through Anthropologie always brings me inspiration and creativity. The design team at our very own Nashville store does a fantastic job keeping the environment fresh and new. Whether its the window or store displays or the products themselves, Anthro always inspires. Click HERE for more.

2. Carrie's Apartment from Sex and the City 2

The wallpapers, patterns and glittery color scheme have me thinking out of the box. Everything about this decor screams fashion.

1. Ten Thousand Villages

Nashville's Ten Thousand Villages located in Green Hills has my head spinning. They have so many beautiful and eclectic pieces. From table linens to furniture, they have just about anything to spice up your home's interior. The most inspiring thing about your purchase is that it is fair trade and supports the lives of thousand of artisans in Asia, Africa Latin America and the Middle East. Click HERE for more.

Hoping that this inspired you!

A tout a l'heure,

Natalie
